Italian Greyhounds
As a current owner of an Italian Greyhound (Iggy for short), I can safely say that I know the trials and tribulations of ownership. From the midnight romp when the bell goes off for playtime, to the youngblood desire for destruction, we’ve lived it. Unfortunately, many people who love the thought of having an Iggy in their lives don’t have the patience for what that entails.
Patience is a Virtue
Yes, your new Iggy will try your patience, and frazzle every last hair on your head, if you still have any! This is exactly why so many of these wonderfully loving pets require rescuing. They are misunderstood.
Italian Greyhounds are often surrendered to rescue due to challenges in pet health issues or injuries, behavioral problems, difficulties with house training, and the list goes on. These factors contribute to Italian Greyhounds being relinquished to rescue organizations for a chance at finding new homes and receiving the proper care.
